A born and raised New Yorker, found her home and niche in San Luis Obispo.
With her concrete jungle-meets-California sun style. Miss Kate has brought comfort and fun to a consistantly growing and overwhelmed industry. As much of a perfectionist as she is, her goal is to not take herself, others, and especially her pieces too seriously.
Sewing by the age of ten, with help from her mother and grandmother, and her father an aircraft mechanic, she consumed herself in a put-together-take-apart world.
After attaining a BFA in Apparel Design from The Fashion Institute of Technology, in Manhattan, she moved west, to satisfy her creative side.
In October 2008 she launched the first line under scissor clothing.
